Wow.

2nd visit for us and yet still exceeded our expectations. Food, comfort, environment but most of all the staff were excellent. James who keep everything ship shape and everyone feeling at home, she is truly an asset and a warm host. And her staff were kind caring contentious and gracious. We went out for a few meals but really wasn't necessary at all. In fact I dont recommend eating anywhere but James kitchen.

Relaxing, beautiful villa with the best staff imaginable

We’re a big family that takes an annual tropical vacation and we have never been so well taken care of. With 8 adults and 3 little ones (5 and under), we were a lot to handle and yet James and her staff did so with so much grace. The Villa has beautiful grounds and the children had so much space to run and play. We enjoyed the tennis court and the pool was the perfect refreshing temperature on a hot day. The beach is quite shallow and rocky but it is easy to visit other beaches. The rooms are spacious and modern. They pushed twin beds together for us to have an extra large king. I can’t say enough about James and her staff. The chef is excellent and we were able to try unusual Thai dishes I’d never seen before. He was receptive to changes we asked for and equally adept at Thai and western style dishes. The villa was kept immaculate and our needs were anticipated with smiles and warmth. James helped us with our every request and we were all truly impressed with how smoothly everything went. You will be in the best possible hands if you stay here. Villa la Lagune is a beautiful villa but the people who work here make it extra special.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la villa Lagune pour le mariage de nos enfants. La maison est très agreable, très bien entrevue et décorée avec goût. Bien que situé au bord de la plage, l'endroit est très paisible. Accueil et service de grande qualité. Le chef cuisinier nous a régalés et James, notre hôtesse, était à l'écoute et très attentionnée. Nous la remercions encore pour tout et notamment pour sa gentillesse. Nous recommandons sans réserve ce bel endroit.

Paradise found,excellent ambiance, superb food, chilled atmosphere, Khun James and team terrific

This is the second time at the famous La Lagune in southern Ko Samui. It is faultless from a sensual environment, a relaxing atmosphere, culinary cooking and staff hospitality exceptional. We wined and dined so well thanks to the ability of Khun James and her staff. The pool is a great place to chill and the dining table near the pool was a great plus. Indoor/outdoor layout made it very chilled. We had the whole family there from Aus, UK and HK so a great spot to meet and tell stories together. Our son is wheelchair bound and the staff were able to ensure full use of the pool and transfers for him were totally smoothly handled.

We've decided on going to thailand a week before we booked the place It's been the greatest vacation that we had for a long time A family of 6 children Including a baby 5 m And thanks to James and kon lai for the organization and for giving us time to relax and enjoy I and out the villa We had the best time I still miss waking up in the morning and having these beautiful people welcoming me every day The food was so good, thanks to Moo - privet chef Thank you jammy ! You are one of a kind As a person and as hostess Miss you gays ! If you like to run/ jogg in the morning / day Jammy will be great in finding for you the best places. She knows koh samui by heart kapunka! And I will miss you !

Secluded paradise

I had my wedding at villa La Lagune in March 2014, and hired out the entire premises for a few nights. Located 10 minutes’ drive from Lamai, the villa is set on a quiet beach on exquisite grounds. This private villa gives you all that you need – lots of room, modern facilities and fantastic staff. What enticed us to the villa for our wedding reception was the large lawn area. We had 60 guests attend, yet the area could have easily catered for double the amount. Grounds The grounds were sensational with staff maintaining the grass and surrounding plants well, especially in such a dry season. The tennis court was good and used a bit during our stay. There is not gym or workout equipment, but we just went for a walk/run down the streets nearby. The tide was quite far out unfortunately leaving quite an ugly look of seaweed, but it didn’t smell nor did it ruin the overall look of the venue. Rooms The rooms were modern and spacious, with fantastic air-conditioning and comfortable beds. They have been designed well with each room having special features, such as an outdoor shower or jacuzzi. Lighting in the room was really good, with large windows to allow natural sunlight to seep through and bright lights (that could be dimmed) during the night. The only downfall we experienced with the rooms is that the hot water ran out if we all had showers within one or two hours. The rooms are getting a little worn, with mould/rust in places, however it is not significant nor did it affect the cleanliness of the room. Staff Villa manager Khun James was truly exceptional. I cannot speak more highly of her efforts to ensure we enjoyed our stay. From helping me source material for the wedding and organise ironing and steaming, through to keeping the villa in top shape throughout our stay, Khun James can only be described as amazing. Other members of the team include a chef, security and other assistants. Having assistance 24/7 was unusual thought and we sometimes felt uncomfortable and tried to help out where we could. The meals the chef cooked up were sensational. We tried numerous dishes during our stay, from curries to salads, prawns to satays and every dish was truly delicious. The chef served up some of the freshest and authentic dishes we had during our stay in Thailand. Phenomenal. The breakfast was also a decent spread with lots of options and it was all very fresh. Ingredients for all food apart from breakfast are an additional charge, but we found this very cheap and reasonable. Management The negative of our stay (well leading up to our stay) was dealing with Samui Villas and Homes. The staff we dealt made arranging things and getting information very challenging and not very pleasant. Only two weeks before we were due to arrive did they have a new staff member Oliver who was a breath of fresh air. He was extremely friendly and helpful. A staff member form Samui Villas and Homes also came to me on the morning of my wedding to go through the villa with me to note any existing damage etc. Not the day or time to be doing this, especially when I checked in the day before. Overall Overall our experience was fantastic. The staff, grounds, rooms and food was a truly memorable experience. Is the $2500 AUD per night price tag suitable? Maybe not, but we enjoyed our stay. It should be noted that the minimum night stay is three nights plus there's an extra charge for having a wedding.

On the southern coast of Koh Samui some 35 minutes from the Airport and 15 minutes from the town of Lamai. In the Summer low tide season the reef may dry for over 100m, this opens the beach and reef up to all sorts of other activities such as beach volleyball, football or simply exploring the rock pools and collecting shellfish.

Rates Exclude

* Extra bed will be charged at USD 50++ per night (including breakfast)
* For weddings and private parties, surcharge may be applicable depending on number of guests (a maximum number of guests also applies)
* Babysitting is at THB 350++ per hour and THB 450++ per hour after 8 pm. Minimum of 4 hours in advance booking is required.
* In-villa shopping service is available at THB 300 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Pre-arrival shopping service is available at THB 650 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.
* Provisioning is to be paid by cash on-site or by credit card with an additional surcharge up to 5%.
* Laundry

Cancellation Policy

If it becomes necessary to cancel all or any part of the booking, Villa Management must be notified in writing (email acceptable). The cancellation will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received.

The following cancellation charges will be applied depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing by Villa Management and the period of stay in the Villa by the Guests:

* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 60 days or more before the arrival date.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the arrival date.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made 30 days or less before the arrival date.
* A full or partial refund is subject to the discretion of Villa Management and solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial cancelled reservation.

Christmas and New Year Periods:

For any cancellation after the deposit and/or balance payment, all payments are forfeited and a full or partial refund is solely applicable in the event that Villa Management secures another reservation covering partially or fully the initial and cancelled reservation.

An admin fee of USD 50 will apply in the event of refund and amendment to reservation. The above cancellation charges also apply if Villa Management cancels the booking due to non-payment of the balance. If the dates of the booking require to be changed or amended, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply.
Any change to the original reservation is subject to the approval of Villa Management. An early departure penalty will be subject to negotiation with Villa Management local Representative's Manager.

***Relaxed Cancellation Policy***
We understand that flexibility is required given the impact Coronavirus has on travel. In the event where your trip is disrupted due to COVID-19-related flight cancellations or travel restrictions, the below terms and conditions apply:

In the event your trip is disrupted, we will supply you with the necessary paperwork to file a claim with your travel insurance. If you are not covered by travel insurance, please refer to the policies on our managed villas below.

* Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before the date of arrival are eligible for a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date OR a cash refund of eighty percent (80%).
* Cancellations made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date will be converted into a credit note for up to twelve (12) months from your original arrival date – no cash refund.
* For peak season bookings: If you cancel anytime due to a COVID-related event, you will be provided with twelve (12) months credit from the original arrival date – no cash refund.

We will refund your booking or provide a credit note based on the following conditions:
* Your country of residence issues a travel ban or a warning of ‘Do not travel’ (or the equivalent) to the destination booked.
* Your flight is cancelled and alternatives are not available.
* There is a government-enforced quarantine upon your return from one of our destinations.

Terms and Conditions:
* Proof will be required before confirming eligibility to this clause.
* Cash refund will be minus any fees that may be incurred for international remittance if requested.
* Credit Note allows you to rebook the same villa during the same rate period (season) within twelve (12) months of your original arrival date. You may confirm your travel dates at a later point in time, as long as the stay is completed within twelve (12) months of the original check-in date.
* The minimum length of stay shall also follow the period of the new dates;
* Policy for new bookings apply for selected managed villas;
* Extension of credit note validity may be requested subject to approval.

Payment Terms

Initial Deposit

* An initial deposit of twenty percent (20%) must be paid to confirm a booking, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation of availability.
* During Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year, fifty percent (50%) of the villa rental must be paid to confirm a booking.
* Before the booking is confirmed and a contract becomes enforceable, Villa Management reserves the right to increase or decrease the agreed prices. No contract will be agreed and accepted by Villa Management before the receipt of funds.
* If the funds have not been received by Villa Management within five (5) banking days from the booking date, Villa Management reserves the right to void the booking request and allocate the Villa to another Guest.
* Should the booking be cancelled, cancellation charges will become payable in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

Balance Payment:

* The outstanding balance must be paid at least seventy-five (75) days before the date of arrival, unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
* Should the booking be made within seventy-five (75) days of the arrival date, the full payment is due upon confirmation and prior to arrival.

Kindly inform upon confirmation of your reservation, which form of payment would be preferred.
* Payments may be made by Telegraphic Transfer to our company bank account ( a nominal admin. fee applies) or through an online payment gateway with your card (Visa, Mastercard or AMEX). For the avoidance of doubt, all bank charges and administration fees to be borne by the client.
* If payment by card is preferred this will incur an admin fee.

Description

All that satisfies in a tropical beachfront escape

La Lagune is an outstanding property that symbolizes all that's expected from staying in a luxurious beachfront property in a relatively untouched area of Koh Samui. Sitting stylishly on Laem Set beach, on the south coast of the island, the villa is located within its own large tropical gardens. It has a private tennis court and the property represents the best of the indoor/outdoor living concept.

La Lagune with its neutral tones has also instilled natural touches of wood, glass and stone to accentuate the beauty of the property and the surrounding. Together these aspects have created a truly functional and appealing home. This is instantly noticeable when you enter the property and are met with an enormous expanse of lush green grass with tropical garden beds leading to the sea. On the right is the tennis court and on the left the villa. Walking through the villa's gates you're immersed into the grassy inner courtyard of the home overlooked by the five bedrooms.

There are three double bedrooms, all with king-size beds and two twin rooms. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with covered outdoor showers and large built-in wardrobes. The master-bedroom, with its stunning sea-views, also has a plasma TV and home cinema as well as a large Jacuzzi tub in the en-suite.

At the end of the central courtyard you come to the large living/dining and kitchen area with huge wrap around bi-folding doors that open the area to the sights, smells and sounds of the sea which is only steps away. This elegant living area also looks out over the large white-stone patio/BBQ lounge area and the villa's swimming pool with adjacent Sala. With another flat-screen TV and Bose sound system in the lounge; a gourmet kitchen and dining table with seating for 12, this space is perfect for entertaining or just whiling away the days in this tropical haven.

The villa's large tropical garden is perfect for entertaining or games and with its own Thai style Sala located on the beach it's also ideal for relaxation. Depending on the time of year either a sunrise or sunset views can be experienced from all parts of the villa; with the nearby offshore islands creating a stunning backdrop.

La Lagune is a well thought out, practical and multi-functional property.
